Dressage Scholarships

Outstanding Volunteers who are members of PVDA are eligible for scholarships to pursue educational opportunities. PVDA is a non-profit organization existing primarily to further education, interest and participation in dressage. PVDA scholarships are to be used only for the education of the rider, not for the training or maintenance of the horse. There is a monetary limit of $500 per scholarship award. The scholarship committee must approve all scholarship requests. Additionally, requests for scholarships in the amount of $400 or greater must be approved by the PVDA Board of Directors.

  • open to all current members, with at least three (3) years of membership, in good standing
  • educational opportunity must be a specific activity that promotes dressage education and goes beyond regular lessons. Examples include clinics and training programs offered by recognized and/or certified instructors as well as USDF and USEF sponsored programs.
  • awards are based on your record of volunteering for PVDA
  • may only be used for the education of the rider, not for the training or maintenance of the horse
  • scholarship is paid out after recipient has submitted an article about the clinic/program to the PVDA newsletter
  • maximum $500 per scholarship
  • requests must be approved by the Scholarship Committee, (requests for scholarships in the amount of $400 or greater must be approved by the PVDA Board of Directors)
