What is a PVDA Chapter?

A chapter is defined as a group of current PVDA members in good standing who wish to meet on a regular basis to further their interest in dressage. Each chapter may set its own membership guideline beyond that, keeping within the PVDA by-laws and constitution.

How to Join a Chapter

If you are interested in joining a PVDA Chapter, take a look at the chapter locations map below to find a chapter near you. Once you find the chapter you're interested use the contact info below to find out what you need to do to join that chapter. Most chapters have a separate dues fee, in addition to the PVDA membership you already have, those dues are payable directly to the chapter.

How to Start a PVDA Chapter

Starting a new PVDA chapter is pretty easy. First, read the Official Guidelines, Rules and Regulations for PVDA Chapters document below. Then, gather together 10 or more PVDA members who want to join your chapter and designate someone as your chapter’s chairperson. Apply with the PVDA Chapters Chairperson to receive a certificate of recognition for your new chapter. Once the chapter is official, make sure that your chapter name and contact information is published in the PVDA Newsletter and on the PVDA Website. You can send the information to the newsletter editor by sending an email to newsletter@pvda.org, and you can send the information to the webmaster by submitting it via the Submit New Website Content form. The PVDA Chapters Chairperson may take care of this for you, but you need to be aware that this needs to be done by someone, so that you can follow up and make sure it happens.
